Shooting the MOOC videos and welcoming our Lithuanian partners to Grenoble

The month of February 2024 was punctuated by two important stages in the progress of the Greentech project, the filming of the MOOC videos, and the welcoming of our Lithuanian partners from Panevėžio kolegija/State Higher Education.

SHOOTING THE MOOC

The shooting took place in the Paris region on the premises of our provider We Up Learning, with a professional actor. The aim of the MOOC is to enable as many people as possible to discover the content of each of the training modules and to encourage participants to delve deeper into the subject. The production stage is underway and the videos will be finalised at the beginning of April.

TESTING OF THE 6 TRAINING MODULES

The test sessions for the 6 training modules within the consortium’s establishments are continuing, and it is in Grenoble that our partners from Panevėžio kolegija/State Higher Education (Lithuania) have set down their bags for a few days.
After an initial training session with their students, Jovita KAZIUKONYTÉ-LEVAVIENÉ, international relations coordinator, and Remigijus KALIASAS, lecturer, came to present the solar energy module to students of the “Transition and Energy Efficiency Professions” course at the University Institute of Technology (IUT1) of the University of Grenoble.

The first two lessons were devoted to the theoretical part of the module, with a short assessment of knowledge at the end of the session. The results of the quizzes reflect a good level of understanding on the part of the students. The lessons were given in English, but most of them were not held back by the language barrier, with a remarkable level of participation and involvement.

For the third and final lesson, the students used the Polysun software to work on a practical case. This experimental part was necessary to achieve the expected learning objectives, both for the students of the IUT1 and for those of Panevėžio kolegija/State Higher Education.

For each of the modules, the training sessions concluded with a questionnaire to assess both the theoretical knowledge and the format and quality of the course.
An analysis of the results revealed certain similarities between the two groups of students.
The general evaluation of the course content showed that over 70% of the students from both universities took the course with pleasure and interest.
The support provided by the teacher gave the students the means to improve their skills and broaden their knowledge of the subject.

The week ended with a visit to some of the laboratories and practical rooms at the IUT1.

The next training session will take place at the University of Applied Sciences in Panevėžys at the end of March 2024.
Cyril Picard, a research lecturer at the IUT1, will be presenting the course on green hydrogen production.
The results of this new week of exchanges and cooperation once again demonstrate the positive impact of the Greentech project on a future community of learners.
It is helping to open up Europe and to develop a shared understanding of the issues involved in the energy transition.
